Success Stories at F.I.T. Martial Arts
"I've found Muy Thai kick-boxing to be the most
interesting MA style I've practiced."
Having practiced various martial art styles over the years (studying mainly American Kenpo karate and TKD/Hapkido, with some brief training in Shaolin Kung-fu, Wing chun Kung-fu, and Muy Thai), I've developed a profound appreciation and interest in learning different forms of MA. I guess i'm what you'd call me a "Jack-of-all-trades, but Master of none." Not only do I enjoy the physical rigors of training in MA, but also the traditions and culture that surrounds each style.
For me, practicing MA has taught me to be always receptive to learning something new...whether its a new kicking technique or learning how to conquer ones own fears and insecurities. Within the relatively short time that i've studied, I've found Muy Thai kick-boxing to be the most interesting MA style I've practiced. Its brutal elbow/knees and powerful kicks have always impressed me.

"All three arts are included in each
class which creates a
great blend of self defense, sport and tradition...""
Gurus Patrick and Phil have put together a great program. The class is fast
paced and there's a high energy level, which is primarily the result of the
instructors working right along side everyone. Positive re-enforcement of
proper techniques is stressed rather than focusing too much on mistakes. The
atmosphere is very friendly and the students encourage and help each other.
The workout is varied and exciting. All three arts are included in each
class which creates a great blend of self defense, sport and tradition. The
instructors obviously have tremendous skills in their arts and it's
impressive to watch them perform, particularly with the Escrima. And the
stick drills are a blast!
After more than thirty years of a variety of martial arts training I'm still
very enthusiastic when I find something new and challenging. F.I.T. M.A. has
provided both. I look forward to each class and come away feeling relaxed,
less stressed and happy to have learned something new. I highly recommend
this class for beginners through advanced martial artists. Not only will you
get a great workout but you'll learn some practical self defense.

"What I appreciate best is the flexibility of the system which
allows for individuality and adaptability."
The southeast asian martial arts blend beautifully, and the material takes the best of everything and creates a system that is easy to learn, practical, and effective. What I appreciate best is the flexibility of the system which allows for individuality and adaptability.
My 10 y/o daughter can comprehend and apply the material, but is also allowed to apply the skills she has acquired in Aikido. Likewise, my wife has improved her flexibility and strength tremendously, and I am also comforted by the knowledge that her self defense skills are formidable.
It has been a pleasure watching my 14 y/o son grow in the arts. His skills are impressive, and the credit goes to Patrick and his FIT system. As for myself, the system has taken years of tedious drills and forms and have brought them to life. The emphasis on application separates Patrick's method from traditional systems. Almost everyday, "light bulbs" go on. After a
15 year hiatus from martial arts my enthusiasm has been revived .
